Murwillumbah festival of performing arts

THE open-age dance troupes wowed audiences at the Murwillumbah Festival of Performing Arts over the weekend.

A record number of groups entered the 78th annual festival held at the Murwillumbah Civic Centre.

The festival, which started on June 26, is now in the dance section, which wraps up on July 21.

 Today's program

9am: 6 and 8 years ballet, tap, jazz, character, contemporary and modern dance.

1.30pm: 6 and 8 years jazz, tap, song and dance, character, and song and tap.

6.30pm: Open Classical Ballet and Character Story.
