Murwillumbah hydro drug set-up busted by police
POLICE have pulled 16 cannabis plants from a hydroponic drug set up in Kunghur.
Police raided the home as part of the ongoing operation coined Curfew.
"It was a good result," Tweed-Byron LAC crime manager Brendon Cullen said.
"I'd like to think it's our on-going presence there."
No one was home when the drug bust occurred but Inspector Cullen said investigations were continuing.
The operation had good results yesterday.
Police performed more than 200 random breath tests and had a strong uniformed police presence.
"It went quite well for the little crime that's been reported in Murwillumbah," he said.
Operation Curfew is on going in the Murwillumbah community and aims to reduce anti-social behaviour.
