Murwillumbah moving up

MURWILLUMBAH has become one of the strong- est growth areas on the Tweed Coast for real estate sales and house building.

Developers say an example is the flurry of construction under way at Riva Vue estate, with 40 homes built or under construction

With the surge in activity and construction, Newland Development manager Dale Scotcher said it was exciting to watch the “for sale” signs be replaced as a lively community took shape.

“There has been a significant amount of activity over the past six months, with properties starting to transform from land to brand new homes all over the estate,” Mr Scotcher said.

“What we are now seeing is a community beginning to form as Riva Vue comes to life.

“Once all the homes currently under construction are complete, it will be a showcase.”

Mr Scotcher said the recent activity at Riva Vue was boosting consumer confidence and establishing the $23 million estate as a hot spot for buyers.

“We are looking forward to what this boost in construction will mean to Riva Vue and the Murwillumbah community,” he said.

“The more it develops, the more new buyers are seeing what a great place this is to live.”

Marketing agent Lance Cotterill of North Estate Agents attributed the success of Riva Vue to a combination of “quality, location and value, with new house and land packages going for under $370,000”.

“We have already seen an increase this year with buyers snatching up the properties,” he said.
