Mustangs unchanged

MUWILLUMBAH coach, Troy McLean, will take an unchanged squad into the opening round clash of the 2011 Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League season against Kyogle on home turf at Stan Sercombe Oval tomorrow.

“We got through last week's win over Northern United (in the Ballina RSL Pre-Season Cup final) without any injuries and each and every one of the players deserved to retain his spot,” McLean said.

In other games this round, all of which kick-off at 2.45pm, Grafton Ghosts meet Lower Clarence, Cudgen host Tweed Coast in the local derby, Northern United play Marist Brothers, Grafton Rhinos tackle Casino, Byron Bay face Mullumbimby and Evans Heads is at home to Ballina.

Star Mustangs recruits, Luke Covell and Damien Quinn, displayed all their guile and experience in the defeat of Northern United and will prove a real thorn in the side of opposing teams throughout the season.
