Mystery over wounded men

POLICE are trying to unravel how two men were wounded at Tweed Heads.

During the early hours of Sunday morning, a 24-year-old man attended a unit in Stuart Street and located a man and woman, both 19.

A short time later, the trio left the address in two separate vehicles.

The teenage man and woman attended Tweed Hospital, where the man sought treatment for a number of back wounds.

He was later transferred to Gold Coast Hospital for specialist treatment.

The 24-year-old man was located at Yamba after police stopped a vehicle.

He was admitted to Lismore Hospital for treatment to a stomach wound.

The man and woman have both been interviewed by police and an investigation is underway.
