Naomi brightens up The Voice star

NOT everyone looks good with yellow eye shadow, pink lipstick and flaming red hair with extra va-va-voom volume.

But sultry songstress Sarah De Bono carries the look off with style.

The Voice crooner performed earlier this week alongside Kelly Clarkson and The Fray, and Halo of Mooloolaba owner Naomi Carter helped put her edgy look together.

The Mooloolaba local, who has about 20 years experience as a hair dresser and make-up artist, was hand-picked by one of De Bono's sponsors to do her hair and make-up for the concert.

"She is like an Australian version of Katy Perry," Mrs Carter said of De Bono.

"Everything about her is colourful, she mixes it up."

This is not the first time Mrs Carter has worked with celebrities, she has previously worked on TV shows including Australia's Next Top Model.

It's her individuality and "loud" style that sets her apart from others in the industry.

"I am very individual and that is one thing Sarah commented on, she said 'you have my style'," she said.

"Her hair, it was big, she loves big hair."

But underneath her flamboyant exterior, Mrs Carter said De Bono was "sweet" on the inside.

"She is really down to earth and sweet," she said.

"She knows what she wants and has real direction and passion about her look and individuality and she stays true to that."
