National Schools Tree Day growing into a great event

JULY is a big month for Cabarita Dunecare as members gear up for National Schools Tree Day with students from Bogangar Public School.

"We would love your help, it is a fun day," co-ordinator Faye Nash said.

Here is a run down of what is happening.

  • On Saturday July 6, between 8.30-10.30am the group will have a brief meeting at the Dunecare container (BYO chair), followed by Tree Day preparation, such as hole digging and mulch distribution.
  • On Wednesday July 10, from 9.00-11.00am Tree Day preparation and weeding will be at the Goanna Track across form the school.
  • Tuesday 16th July 1.00-3.00 Preparation for Open Day and propagation at the Nursery at the Bowls Club, Cabarita.
  • Friday July 26 is the big day, from 8.00-12.30pm members will meet on Tree Day with Bogangar school students.
