UPDATED, 2.26pm: RSVPs for the dinner closed last week.
INITIAL report: The National Party will host a dinner at Condong Bowling Club to discuss issues of concern for the Tweed Shire on Tuesday (tonight).
Tweed Shire Councillor Phil Youngblutt said Tweed State MP Geoff Provest, Member for Lismore Thomas George (whose electorate covers Murwillumbah), Assistant Federal Minister for Health Fiona Nash and Tweed Councillors Warren Polglase and Carolyn Byrne will be at the dinner.
"The Murwillumbah branch of the Nationals started by getting politicians and councillors to a meeting in the evening where by people can come and talk about problems and politicians can speak to us on different issues and people get to address them," Cr Youngblutt said.
Hot topics like the Right to Farm legislation, fuel for the Condong Sugar Mill, the postal service and the children's ward at Murwillumbah Hospital will be discussed at the dinner by an expected patronage of 70 people.
