Nationals host year’s first regional meeting in Tweed
NSW National MPs, including the Deputy Premier, will meet in Tweed Heads on Thursday with each other and community groups.
Deputy Premier and NSW Nationals Leader Andrew Stoner said the Tweed visit would be the party's first regional meeting of the year.
"Meeting at the Tweed will allow us to combine our planning for the upcoming year with hearing first hand from the local community," Mr Stoner said.
Attendees will include the Minister for Roads and Ports Duncan Gay MLC; Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Hospitality and Racing, Minister for the Arts, and Minister for the Hunter George Souris MP; Minister for Primary Industries and Small Business Katrina Hodgkinson MP; Minister for Local Government and the North Coast Don Page MP, and Minister for Mental Health, Minister for Healthy Lifestyles, and Minister for Western New South Wales Kevin Humphries MP.
Nationals Tweed MP Geoff Provest said he was delighted to welcome the Parliamentary team to his electorate.
"I am pleased to host not only five senior members of the NSW Cabinet, but also the NSW Nationals Parliamentary team," Mr Provest said.
"This is a great chance for the local community to meet the team responsible for reinvigorating regional NSW," Mr Provest said.
"I am looking forward to showcasing the terrific Tweed to my National Party colleagues."
