Naval award for Murwillumbah man

FORMER Murwillumbah resident Simon Taylor has been presented with the Peter Mitchell Recruit of the Intake award at HMAS Cerebrus Royal Australian Navy Recruit School.

The award states “Recruit Taylor has well-developed communication and leadership skills and displayed outstanding motivation as team leader in class activities”.

Simon attended Mt St Patrick College and will commence duties as a systems operator at HMAS Watson in Sydney this week.

Proud parents are Mark and Rosemary Taylor and grand-parents John and Madge Taylor all of Murwillumbah.
