Negotiations after big auction

INTEREST was strong from buyers at a multi-auction event of Tweed properties on Saturday.

Rainbow Bay Realty had 13 properties listed in the "Showtime" auction at Twin Towns Services Club that attracted about 80 people.

The realty principal Lenny McLennan said no properties sold on the night but there was plenty of interest from buyers.

"We have more registered bidders than we expected," Mr McLennan said.

Mr McLennan said one property has sold since the auction and negotiations were ongoing with several other properties.

Residential and commercial properties were on offer in the auction.

Last year "Showtime" auction had 30 properties listed.
