DIVISION 2 RUNNER-UP: Tweed Netball Association’s talented under-15 representative team.
DIVISION 2 RUNNER-UP: Tweed Netball Association’s talented under-15 representative team.

AFTER a full netball weekend over the long weekend, we will head this week into Round 11, proudly sponsored by St George Bank Tweed/Coolangatta.

Tweed appreciate the support we have received this season from St George Bank who have generously sponsored our association for this year and next season.

Congratulations to all rep teams who competed over the long weekend at the state carnival in Ipswich.

All teams put in a gallant effort and the results were great with the under-15s finishing runner-up in Division 2 and our U14s placed fourth in an extremely strong Division 1.

The U15s coach Danielle Watters was rewarded for all her efforts when her team produced a strong performance in the goal circle and defence.

Following the game against Coolum, the team could have dropped their game but they all combined well and supported each other to produce the wins to keep them in the top two of their division.

All girls who represented Tweed did so on such a high level so thanks to you all as well as our dedicated group of coaches, managers, care givers and parent volunteers.

Now we head on to the Challenge carnival at Tweed on June 22-24, showcasing what we have here as well as all of our parents, grandparents and families getting the chance to watch some of our junior players in action.

Our U16 Premier League team are certainly showing their talents on the Mt Gravatt courts each Friday night in the Mount Franklin Challenge.

Coach Lisa Richards is keen to keep the girls on track in a tie for third on 10 points. They played South Coast last night.
