New citizens welcomed to the Tweed at ceremony

RICHMOND MP Justine Elliot and Mayor Barry Longland had the pleasure of welcoming some new Australians to the Tweed yesterday.
Banora Point residents Suresh Chirayil Narayanakurup, Ambily Santhakumary Amma and Nivedita Suresh took the leap of faith at a citizenship ceremony at the Tweed Heads Civic Centre.
A spokesperson for Mrs Elliot said 26 people attended.
"They came from around the world and were supported by family and friends as they became Australian Citizens," he told My Daily News.
