New facilities for Sathya Sai

SATHYA Sai Primary School will expand its boundaries this week with the opening of new facilities.

Three new classrooms including a kindergarten and two general classrooms, a resources centre and a music room will make up the first stage of the school's building program.

The new buildings will be officially opened at a ceremony this Friday at 10.30am by deputy Tweed Shire Council Deputy Mayor Barry Longland.

The school previously received a $250,000 grant from the Federal Government for construction which commenced last November.

Principal Robert Molloy from the school said it was a big moment for them.

“We're very excited to be able to provide more room for the students to play and learn,” Mr Molloy said.

“We invite anyone from the community to come and see the opening of our new rooms.”
