New role for auctioned site

TWO commercial properties in the Tweed and Coolangatta went under the hammer yesterday in a public auction.

The Coolangatta property was purchased for an undisclosed price for use as a medical suite.

Located on the ground floor of the Blue C building on the corner of MacLean St and Marine Pde, it was previously used as a restaurant with courtyard space, undercover car parking, disabled access and two store rooms.

DJ Stringer Property Services commercial agent Byron Glen said the auction was a unique opportunity.

“The auction presented a rare opportunity for investors to secure prime opportunities in both Coolangatta and Tweed Heads,” Mr Glen said.

“The property can cater for a diverse range of retail and commercial options suitable for an investor or owner occupier.”

Adjoining suites in the Tweed Heads CBD, leased to Aussie Law Consultants, were not sold.

However, Mr Glen insisted there was a lot of interest in the property.

“With an existing long-term tenant and strong returns, the two quality commercial office spaces are expected to attract a wave of investors located in the heart of the Tweed business district on the New South Wales side of the border,” Mr Glen said.
