New units to reel in buyers
APARTMENTS in the recently completed Margaret River boutique development at Tweed Heads are likely to attract a lot of interest, according to sales manager David Stringer.
The DJ Stringer Property Services principal said that not only did the multi-million dollar apartment block tick all the right boxes, it also boasted several concession incentives.
Currently NSW residents aged over-65 who sell their family home and downsize to a newly constructed home worth up to $600,000 will pay no stamp duty while a 25% concession applies to all other new home buyers.
Earlier this month, a luxury apartment block opposite the Tweed Heads Bowls Club became the fastest-selling over-55s project in Australia and Mr Stringer expects the same interest in Margaret River, as retirees look to downsize.
“People are attracted to the fact that they can purchase a completed boutique apartment, settle and then move in straight away without waiting for construction timeframes to complete,” Mr Stringer said.
“There are very few brand new projects on the market.”
Built by Coast 2 Coast Constructions, and located close to the Tweed River, the development contains nine one and two-bedroom apartments.
