New Woolworths opens early

A WOOLWORTHS supermarket will be the star attraction when Reedy Creek Village shopping centre opens ahead of schedule on Wednesday.

Spokesman Chris King said more retailers such as a Goldstein's Bakery, a Mediterranean and take away restaurant were confirmed prior to its opening.

"Reedy Creek Village is anchored by a full line Woolworths supermarket and located on the corner of Kingsmore Blvd and Old Coach Rd.

"Other retailers include a Zarraffa's coffee shop and a BWS liquor store, while plans are also in place for a pharmacy and doctor's surgery in the village.

"Reedy Creek is a southern Gold Coast hotspot due to its close proximity to Robina Town Centre, together with major road upgrades and the Varsity Lakes railway station.

"It is also home to the premium Stockland residential community of The Observatory and the nearby Kingsmore estate," Mr King said.

He said fine weather had helped the village construction team fast-track the project for an opening ahead of schedule.

"This centre has been eagerly awaited by the local community so it's very exciting that we can open the doors earlier and provide extra shopping convenience prior to Christmas.

"We are also delighted at the mix of retailers confirmed for the centre, which will really make it a one-stop convenience shopping location for residents of Reedy Creek and surrounds.

"Look out for further updates over the coming weeks and make sure you check out Reedy Creek Village from November 30."

Stockland's Gold Coast and Northern NSW regional manager David Laner also welcomed the village's completion.

"Residents of The Observatory are in close proximity to the new centre, which will complement all the other benefits of this region, such as the beach, schools and public transport," he said.
