Nicholas Cage drops in on Kelly Slater at Quiky Pro

THERE was a touch of Hollywood at Snapper Rocks with actor Nicholas Cage making a surprise appearance at the Quiksilver Pro.
Surfing Life Magazine's Wade Davis reported that Cage and world surfing champ Kelly Slater spent about an hour together in the VIP booth talking all things surfing.
Draped in gold jewellery with several hangers-on in toe, Cage wore a fedora as an added disguise and entered the venue undetected for the most part.
Cage is reportedly on the Gold Coast to film movie The Dying of the Light, a police thriller focusing on a CIA agent who goes blind while working his last case.
Other scenes for the movie have been shot in snow-covered Romania.
