No sign of $7m lottery winner

THE search is still on for the mystery winner of last week's $7 million Lottery jackpot.

The unknown multi-millionaire is someone who bought a ticket at Twin Towns Services Club for last week's $2 Jackpot Lottery draw 9202.

NSW Lotteries yesterday could not believe no-one had come forward to collect the prize money, which was won on unregistered ticket number 22402.

“There's been no word on it yet, so all we can do is keep putting the calls out for people to check their tickets,” NSW Lotteries' Una O'Neill said.

“It was not a registered ticket so we have no way of contacting them. So there's someone walking around with $7 million and they don't even know it.”

Staff at the Tweed Heads club were last week hoping a local person had won the huge jackpot, but Ms O'Neill said if that was the case the winner would probably have come forward by now.

“It could have actually been someone passing through, who doesn't live in Tweed at all,” she said.

NSW Lotteries is again asking people who bought their tickets at the club to check their numbers online or at their local Lottery agency.

Meanwhile, it seems to be a lucky time in the Tweed, with several big winners across the region.

Earlier this month, Pottsville resident Ray scored a massive $1.2 million on a Keno ticket bought at the Pottsville Beach Sports Club.

Late last year, nurses and ward staff from The Tweed Hospital won more than $767,000 in a syndicate.
