No surprises as EPL sides make it through in Cup

ENGLISH Premier League clubs have restored some order in the FA Cup fourth round, with three clubs making it through to the next round.

The previous day had seen Chelsea, Manchester City, Swansea City, Spurs and Southampton all surprisingly beaten. But Arsenal, West Ham and Aston Villa all survived against clubs from lower leagues.

The Gunners won 3-2 at the home of Championship high-flier Brighton.

Goals from Theo Walcott (pictured), Mezut Ozil and Tomas Rosicky were enough for the visitors, but Brighton never gave up and pushed Arsenal all the way.

The home side's goals came from Chris O'Grady and Sam Baldock.

Villa proved too strong for Championship leader Bournemouth, winning 2-1, while West Ham left it late to win at Bristol City, with Diafra Sakho heading home in the 81st minute.
