Noise group seeking resident

THE Gold Coast Airport is seeking a Bilinga resident for its Noise Abatement Consultative Committee (ANACC).

With Bilinga one of the suburbs most affected by airport noise, ANACC Chairperson and General Manager of Operations at Gold Coast Airport, Rob Porter, said the committee provides the local community with a tool to provide feedback to the airport and vice versa.

The committee is made up of 10 community members plus aviation experts, who meet quarterly to make recommendations in regards to airport noise.

The Bilinga representative also meets with a sub-committee prior to the quarterly ANACC meeting.

Applicants must be formally nominated by a community association in the Bilinga area. For more information call Rob Porter on (07) 5589 1100.
