Eels hit with a $15,000 fine after comments against ref

PARRAMATTA has been hit with a $15,000 fine after coach Ricky Stuart labelled the referees' performance in Sunday's 30-10 loss to the Rabbitohs as a disgrace - the Eels lost the penalties 13-6.

Stuart also questioned the performance of NRL referees elite performance manager Daniel Anderson.

NRL general manager of football operations, Nathan McGuirk, yesterday said there were clear guidelines for coaches and officials in regards to commenting on decisions, and they do not permit an attack on the character or integrity of match officials.

The Eels have five working days to make a submission.
