NRRRL action: Clubs continue to tussle for top spot

CUDGEN and Murwillumbah remain locked together at the top of the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League (NRRRL) ladder after both secured Round 13 wins on Sunday.

The Hornets - slightly ahead on point difference - edged past Northern United 22-18 at home, while the Mustangs were pushed by last placed Kyogle, before securing their fourth win in-a-row, 36-30.

With the sides neck-and-neck at the top of the ladder for the past month, Round 14 may prove the difference, with the Mustangs and Cudgen facing tough matches against Northern United (Saturday) and Casino RSM (Sunday) respectively.

Fellow Tweed club the Raiders recorded their fifth win, toppling Byron Bay 34-16 at home on Saturday.
