Organic noodles get oodles of accolades
JET lag didn't stop an elated Anni Brownjohn from expressing her joy at taking out an award at Biofach, the largest organic trade show in the world.
Arriving back at Sydney Airport this morning, the founder of Murwillumbah's The Right Food Group beat over 800 global competitors in Germany at the weekend to take out the prestigious Best New Product Award in the cooking and baking category for her recently launched noodle products range Organic Noodle Kitchen.
Ms Brownjohn said travel weariness hadn't dampened her exhileration over the win.
"We are thrilled to have been selected," Ms Brownjohn said.
"It's a little like winning an Oscar in the world of organics.
"Our Organic Noodle Kitchen range includes six noodle varieties: beetroot, charcoal, soba, udon, spirulina and whole wheat - really innovative flavours."
The annual Biofach event attracts more than 40,000 visitors from around the world.
The Company's general manager, Neil Sallaway, said he was very surprised at the interest generated by the Organic Noodle Kitchen products.
This is the first time and Australian has won the Award.
