Pacific Hwy tipped to top worst roads ... again

THE Pacific Hwy is tipped to top the list of the nation's worst roads once again in an NRMA report due for release on Wednesday.

In the lead-up to the federal election, the NRMA asked more than 10,000 drivers to vote for the most treacherous stretches of road in NSW and the ACT.

The report will be unveiled at noon Wednesday along with a list of the top five most dangerous roads on the NSW North Coast.

The results will help fuel the national motoring clubs' Demand Better Roads campaign.

Following the release of the report, communities across northern NSW will have their chance to have their say on roads at a series of street events where residents will be encouraged to put chalk to bitumen and send their politicians a message.

The first street chalk event on the NSW North Coast will be held at Harbour Dve in Coffs Harbour on August 6, from 9am to 4pm.

Messages to politicians can also be posted on the dedicated Facebook page http://www.Facebook.com/myNRMA.
