Paddle boarder found alive and well

UPDATE 7pm: The woman has been found alive and well on land.

ORIGINAL STORY: EMERGENCY services are searching for a paddle-boarder believed to be missing off Hastings Point.

About 1.15pm Friday, a woman was seen paddle-boarding in rough water between two whales, about 500m from the shore.

One of the whales breached and an onlooker lost sight of the woman.

Police were notified and a search was commenced, but the paddle-boarder was not located.

She was described as wearing an orange bikini.

While it's possible the woman left the area and was not injured, police would like to hear from her if this is the case.

As of 5.20pm, the woman had still not been located.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact police.
