Parking to stand

TWEED Shire Council rangers have been asked by the council's traffic committee to enforce the existing two-hour time limit on parking along Boyd Street in Tweed Heads.

The request follows the committee's decision to reject a plea for a 15-minute parking limit outside a butcher's shop.

The request came from a motorist aged overf 80 who said it was now "impossible to get near the shop".
