Party to celebrate upgrade opening

IT HAS been seven years since plans were first unveiled, and now the NSW Government has announced a completion date for the Banora Point Upgrade and so have started planning a big party.

The official opening of the upgrade is on September 22 and the Road and Maritime Services is hosting a community day.

People can get a close look at the completed upgrade and witness the official opening before having a play on the jumping castle and get their faces painted.

The opening is at Wilson Park which is a new park created above the upgrade.

Free shuttle buses will travel will travel to the park from Leisure Dr and Darlington Dr, Banora Point and Minjungbal Dr north of Shallow Bay Dr, and Minjungbal Dr north of Soorley St.
