Peak hour prangs stop traffic

TRAFFIC was at a standstill on the Pacific Motorway this morning.

Motorists were caught in delays cause by three accidents occurring about the same time all in northbound lanes.

According to Gold Coast police, the first occurred at 8.25am (Qld) on the Pacific Motorway at Varsity Lakes before an accident at on the motorway at Burleigh a minute later.

The third accident was on the motorway near Palm Beach at 8.29am (Qld).

Police said paramedics were not required at any of the accidents.

The motorway was cleared but traffic was built up for several hours after the accidents.
