Pedrosa 33 points off the pace

DANI PEDROSA closed the gap on the MotoGP championship leader Jorge Lorenzo to 33 points following a commanding victory in the Aragon Grand Prix in Spain yesterday.

The Honda rider shadowed his fellow Spaniard off the line before making a pass on lap seven and holding the lead to the chequered flag, which he took nearly six-and-a-half seconds ahead of his rival, while Andrea Dovizioso (Yamaha) was third.

The victory was Pedrosa's (Yamaha) third in the last four races and it certainly made up for his disastrous outing at San Marino a fortnight ago where he crashed on the first lap.

Injured Aussie Casey Stoner remains third with four races to go.
