Santa is getting ready for carols at Salt Village
SALT Village Christmas Carols will showcase local talent and TV show The Voice singer Darren Percival next weekend.
Event producer Jayne Henry said the free event would combine carols, fireworks, markets and rides.
"Anything that shines a bright burning light on the Tweed is a positive thing," Ms Henry said.
She said Kingscliff Public School Choir and Voice Weavers would perform alongside many others.
Ms Henry said actress Denise Drysdale would host the carols, with Mr Percival set to perform.
"Denise is awesome at getting people in the Christmas mood," Ms Henry said.
Markets and rides start at 2pm on Saturday, continuing on Sunday.
Carols events planned for Tweed include:
- This Thursday: Carols by the Coast, Lions Park, Marine Pde, Kingscliff, 7pm DST.
- Next Saturday: Salt Village Christmas Carols, Central Park, 6pm.
- Next Sunday: Outdoor Family Christmas Carols, Tugun-Tweed Baptist Church, 6.30pm DST (5.30pm Qld).
- Next Sunday: Coolangatta Christmas Carols, Queen Elizabeth Park, 6pm DST (5pm Qld).
- Sunday, December 22: Burringbar Community Christmas Carols, Bush Fire Brigade Shed, Main St, Burringbar, 6.30pm.
