Perfect pizza in Kirra
PETER Irby is now catering to Kirra’s passionate pizza lovers.
Mr Irby opened his Kirra Beach Pizza Capers store in December last year and has operated his South Tweed store for more than three years.
He said northern customers were experiencing problems with delivery times from Tweed for his sought-after Italian delights, so opening a Kirra store was not a difficult decision.
“I’ve operated the Tweed store for three-and-a-half years,” Mr Irby said.
“The new store has been pretty popular and it’s been quite excellent considering the poor tourist season over the summer, plus it’s travelling exceptionally well with all the local support.
“There was no hoo-ha, we just got everything together and opened it up.”
“I tend to bounce back and forth between the shops and my teams are store specific.”
Mr Irby said the Pizza Capers franchise extended over Victoria, South Australia, Canberra and Singapore.
“The franchise comes from Brisbane,” he said.
“It’s fun and rewarding to see the customers’ delight when they get budget priced pizza in a location which says anything but budget.
“They also enjoy getting restaurant quality food at take-away food prices.
“We get a great cross-section of locals and tourists”
He said prior to his decision to purchase a Pizza Capers store he was a spare parts wholesaler in Sydney.
“But then we moved up here to paradise.”
