Man charged after Minjungbal Dr crash
Update, 10.56am, January 9: A MAN has been charged with negligent driving after he lost control of his car, causing a three-car crash at Tweed Heads South yesterday.
Tweed Byron LAC Acting Inspector Warwick Rhodes said the man was making a right turn out of Shallow Bay Dr when he lost control, his car spun out and he jumped the median strip, crossing into oncoming traffic.
The driver said his brakes failed in the wet conditions.
Act Insp Rhodes reminded drivers to slow down and take it easy on rain-soaked roads.
Update, 3.40pm: AMBULANCE NSW say they were called to a three-car crash at Tweed Heads South this afternoon, but all occupants were uninjured.
"We were called at 2.31pm, but no patients required transport," a spokesman said.
The circumstances leading up to the crash are unknown at this stage.
Update, 3.09pm: ALL drivers and passengers have been freed after a three-car collision at Minjungbal Dr, Tweed Heads South.
At this stage it is unknown if anyone was injured.

Initial Report, 2.57pm: AN unknown number of people are reportedly trapped in a car after a crash near KFC on Minjungbal Dr.
It is understood multiple vehicles were involved in the incident.
Traffic in Minjungbal Drive's southbound lane is currently backed up past Tweed City Shopping Centre.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution in the area.
