Pilot makes miraculous escape from crash landing

A PILOT was lucky to escape a crash landing uninjured after his light aircraft came down near Atkinson Dam Rd in the Lockyer Valley.

A police spokesman said the alarm was raised about 11.40am yesterday after the plane suffered engine failure at Bradfield Airstrip.

"The pilot is fine with no injuries and the plane is wrecked," the spokesman said.
