Pink bun binge and all for a good cause

THEY'RE pink, sticky, tasty and baked for a good cause.

An abundance of pink finger buns will soon be available at all Tweed Bakers Delight stores in an effort to raise funds for women diagnosed with breast cancer.

Tweed Heads bakers will join over 600 shops in the country by wearing pink outfits and donating 100% of the sale of the finger buns to Breast Cancer Network Australia.

Staff at Bakers Delight Tweed City and Coolangatta, hope to make this the most successful Pink Bun Campaign ever, aiming to do their bit to better the $1million raised last year.

The money raised ensures women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families receive the very best information, treatment and care possible.

Breast Cancer Network Australia CEO, Maxine Morand said the support provided through the Bakers Delight Pink Bun Campaign is just as important as ever with the money donated and really made a difference to the lives of many.

"Why not make a difference this Mother's Day by buying your mum or kids a meaningful treat?" she said.

The campaign begins on May 2 and will continue through to May 22.

Customers are also invited to leave a gold coin donation at either Bakers Delight Coolangatta or Tweed City.
