Teen to perform in youth circus

CUDGEN teenager Emily-May Rahmate will be among the first Australians to perform at an international youth circus festival in July.

The Year 12 Kingscliff High student will travel to Europe with the Spaghetti Circus, chosen to represent Australia at the London International Youth Circus Festival.

She said her ideal career was to be involved with a travelling circus.

“I would love to perform and travel the world with a circus as a career,” Miss Rahmate said.

“After school I want to go to a circus university in Melbourne, the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA).

“Heaps of Spaghetti Circus people go there.”
