
Pokemon masters put on the bench as network crumbles
IT'S been nearly a week since the Pokémon GO's launch and the computers making it work are still struggling to deal with the number of people wanting to play.
Social media users have been calling for an official explanation since launch day, though the calls have become less patient today, the Courier-Mail reports.
The pressure on servers has been mounting as the augmented reality game overtakes Tinder for number of users.
It is expected to surpass Twitter's number of users within days.

An enterprising user reportedly took the initial release in Australia and New Zealand and made it available to the USA on launch day before the servers were ready.

While it was initially speculated that the server shutdowns were an attempt to stop US players from joining in, that explanation is no longer valid.
