Police bust power tool thief with meth down his pants

A 44-YEAR-old man was charged with supplying a prohibited drug after a search warrant in Casino yesterday morning.

At 11.20am this morning police attended an address on Frederick Street to conduct a search warrant in regards to stolen property. Police entered the house and saw a 44 year old man whom police allege was trying to remove an object from the front of his pants. He was stopped and searched with police locating a container with a number of small plastic bags inside. These bags contained 7.3grams of methyl-amphetamine.

Two women aged 21 and 38 were searched with 4.6grams of cannabis and 0.3grams of methyl-amphetamine being located (respectively) and seized.

The 44 year old man was charged with Supplying a Prohibited Drug. He was refused bail to attend Lismore Local Court today.

The women will be issued with a Future Court Attendance notices for possessing a prohibited drug.

The search warrant continued and police located a number of electrical items allegedly stolen during a break in at a neighbouring property two days before (30/3/2016). These items consisted of power tools, hi-fi equipment and a DVD player.

The investigation into the Break and Enter is ongoing with charges pending.
