
Emergency situation revoked after bomb search at Nambour
POLICE have revoked an emergency situation in the area surrounding the Nambour train station, declaring the issue "resolved".
Earlier this morning, trains through the station were halted and traffic was diverted when the station was evacuated after a bomb scare.
Police, fire crews and ambulances were called to at the scene after police were notified of the threat about 8.45am.
It is believed they were contacted by a member of the public who saw or heard a bomb threat.
A search of the station took sveral hours, with traffic controllers directing vehicles away from the station.
An emergency situation was declared by police about 10.15am. The declared emergency area was bounded by Currie Street, Mill St and Price St.
