Police expand murder investigation
GOLD Coast detectives are trying to piece together the movements of a 36-year-old man found dead on Hooker Blvd on Tuesday morning.
Colin Edgar Lutherborrow from Mermaid Waters was located on the road at Hooker Blvd at Broadbeach around 2.30am.
Detective Superintendent David Hutchinson said the investigation had uncovered no links to orgainsed crime or any indication that it was an execution-style shooting.
“We are building up a picture of a background, but we are trying to fill the gaps from 9pm the previous night until he was discovered around 2.30am,” Det Supt Hutchinson said.
Police have expanded the investigation and asked for anyone travelling along that road around the time the body was discovered to come forward.
Police divers were also searching the waterways in the area for any evidence to the shooting.
