Police fear for runaway teen couple

POLICE fear for the safety of a young couple believed to be hiding out in the Blue Mountains.

Lucas Bollard and Sophie McGregor, both aged 14, have not been since they left their Botany homes on the weekend.

The teenagers, who have been in a relationship for the past three months, took only their backpacks when they ran away on Saturday.

A note was left behind for Lucas's parents.

Family members believe they could be headed towards the Blue Mountains or the Lithgow area.

Lucas is described as being Caucasian, 183cm tall with a slim build, short brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, white sneakers and a grey hoodie with the brand Hurley printed on the back.

Sophie is fair skinned, 152cm tall with a slim build, green eyes and shoulder-length black hair.

She was last seen wearing black jeans with black boots and a white shirt with a cartoon print on the front and may have been carrying a blue cardigan.

Her carry bag is green with a tree motif on the front.
