Police find $52k worth of cannabis

POLICE yesterday arrested a Banora Point woman when they found 26 cannabis plants with a street value of approximately $52,000 growing on her property.

A small amount of cannabis leaf, with a street value of $150, was also found during the search.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested and charged with cultivation of prohibited plants.

The woman had been on surveillance, but Tweed Heads detective acting Saul Wiseman couldn't yet reveal  for how long.

The woman will appear in Tweed Heads court on Monday, November 14.
