Police find guns, drugs, reptile

UPDATED, 2.30pm:

Police have confirmed a snake was the reptile found during a raid at Tugun this week.

They have described the weapons seized as two rifles and a hand gun, with one being a replica.

 

INITIAL REPORT:

GOLD Coast Police arrested a 23-year-old man after a raid at Tugun about 2.30pm on Tuesday.

Police charged the man with weapons, drugs and fauna offences after police discovered firearms, drugs, equipment allegedly used in the production of drugs and a native animal at the address.

He is expected to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court today on six charges including possession of a native reptile without a permit.
