Police identify pedestrian

INVESTIGATIONS into a crash which claimed the life of a pedestrian at Sexton Hill on Sunday are continuing.

Police yesterday confirmed the man had been identified and his family notified of his death.

He was a 43-year-old man from Banora Point.

His name will not be released on the request of his family.

Police are treating the incident, in which the man was struck by a truck about 9.10am, as non-suspicious.

He was not carrying any identification at the time.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Tweed police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
