Police investigate link between shootings and gang activity
POLICE are investigating whether the latest in a spate of Sydney shootings is linked to escalating gang conflict believed to be behind the murder of a man earlier this week.
Shots were fired into a home at Bankstown about 1am. No-one was injured.
The shooting came two days after a 28-year-old man was shot dead in his front yard at Punchbowl.
The victim was the cousin of a woman whose husband was shot dead on a work site in the same neighbourhood last month.
Investigations are continuing.
