POLICE numbers in the Richmond Local Area Command have been given a boost with three new probationary constables set to hit the beat next week.

The new recruits graduated from the Goulburn Police Academy along with 301 probationary constables yesterday.

In the NSW Northern Region the Tweed Byron Local Area Command missed out on the new recruits, not receiving any probationary constables from the 2012 class of 304.
