Police release images from bikie bashing at Cooly

POLICE released CCTV footage and photographs of a group of men they want to talk to after a man was punched in the head at Cooly Rocks On at the weekend.

A statement from Queensland police said the men were seen near the area at the time of the assault and may have information to assist police with their investigation.

They are appealing to the men, or anyone who may know their identities, to come forward and contact police.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have seen the assault.

My Daily News understands two motorcycle clubs, the Finks and the Nomads, were fighting when a festival goer snapped some photos.

He refused to delete them and was punched in the head.

A Murwillumbah man, 26, handed himself in, and was charged with affray after this incident.

Investigations are continuing into the incident, anyone with information that could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.
