Police say there are no reports of a prowler

REPORTS of a prowler stalking a woman in Murwillumbah are unconfirmed, police said.

A Facebook site said there was a report to police that a prowler was at the front door of a house in Murwillumbah last night.

The report allegedly stated the prowler was at the window and a sole female occupant had requested police about 1am.

Tweed-Byron Local Area Command crime manager Brendon Cullen said police had no record of that call.

"It can't be confirmed," he said.

"Our crews did not attend."
