Police seize ice and cash in Ballina raid

ICE, cash, cannabis, steroids and allegedly stolen property was seized by police in a raid on a Ballina home yesterday.

Officers attached to the Richmond Target Action Group obtained a warrant to search a home in Henry Phillip Avenue.

During the search police seized drugs believed to be Methyl-amphetamine (ice), steroids, cannabis and restricted pharmaceutical drugs.

They also seized a significant amount property including power tools, toiletry items, toys and an amount of cash.

Police will allege the property was exchanged for the supply of drugs.

A 24-year-old man was charged with supplying a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited prescribed substance and dealing with proceeds of crime.

A 19-year-old woman was charged with supplying a prohibited drug and possessing a prohibited drug.

The pair were granted bail to appear at Ballina Local Court next month.
