Police shut down drug lab

A GROW house located in Burleigh Heads has been shut down after police executed a search warrant on Tuesday morning.

Police allegedly located two bedrooms in the house that had been modified to grow cannabis hydroponically.

The search warrant was executed by Queensland Police's South Eastern Region's Major and Organised Crime Squad.

Police said a 32-year-old man was charged and arrested in relation to the crimes.

He was charged with production of a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of equipment used in the commission of an offence, possession of a drug utensil and stealing electricity.

The man is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on October 23.

Investigations are continuing.
